“Life is a coloring book, but you have the pens.” - Sophie Kinsella, My Not So Perfect Life
In 2026 your life looks set to become much more colourful. This is welcome news if things have felt a bit flat or grey in recent years. If your life has lacked passion, romance, magic or wonder, then 2026 will be the year all this changes as you get to step into a world which could at times feel like a Van Gough painting or a Romeo and Juliet film set. Think of art galleries, books, paintings, music, film, cinema, photography, fashion, stories and a touch of glamour. Think of artistic people and places, of romance and imagination. Imagine sensual pleasure and a rich vivid exploration of what life has to offer. This could be the beginning of a really inspiring phase in your life when the manifestation of a creative dream, a spiritual love affair, or interaction with children, animals or a new hobby elevates you to a new level. However, there are certain parameters which you will need to operate within. Saturn and Neptune’s presence in your zone of fun and creativity suggests the need for hard work, commitment and discipline. It also suggests the necessity to deal with disappointment and the consistent effort that goes with bringing artistic visions into reality. The same goes for children, who are of course, our ultimate creations.
Neptune and Saturn also caution against getting carried away and not seeing things as they really are, whether it’s a creative dream or a romantic affair. If you dream of being the next bestselling author or that the person you’ve just met is a one way ticket to happiness, this planetary duo could set you up for a fall. Another potential problem is not being able to live life on your own terms. It’s important that we can march to our own drumbeat and follow our authentic desires, but for some reason this might not be possible this year, or if it is, it might be that you have to make sacrifices in other areas. Sometimes we can’t always have everything we want and this might be a lesson for you this year. Being reined in isn’t a comfortable experience for the adventurous Sagittarian nature, but if you can work with what you’ve got and stick within the limits you might find that something quite wonderful begins to take shape.
Sticking within parameters won’t apply to your marriage and long-term relationships however, because Uranus moving into your opposite sign in April wants to bring change, revolution and revitalisation in this area, especially if things have got a bit stale or restrictive. Relationships that have become too stifling and which run counter to your growth will splinter if the other person can’t accommodate your growing need for freedom and excitement. Alternatively, you might be the one needing to change if your partner has become frustrated. Either way, this is a year in which you can’t keep operating within the same old patterns if you want your key relationship to thrive. So break your relationship routines, do different things together, learn something new, change how you interact. Don’t allow complacency to take root otherwise there could be trouble ahead.
The second half of the year is perhaps more favourable than the first as Jupiter arrives in your zone of adventure from July. This will easily offset any kind of limitation on your fun and self expression, bringing an expansive, optimistic feel where it becomes so much easier to set sail for new horizons and embrace new experiences. This is a transit of potential and possibility as well as expansion, so you can expect life to take you to some interesting places this year, either physically or mentally. There may be times, particularly in July, where you oscillate between highs and lows. This could almost be like a bi polar experience where you’re in heaven one minute and hitting the floor the next. This is likely to be because there are life extremes playing out; some elements of your life will feel joyous and expansive whilst others will test you. The trick here is to not crave the highs and fear the lows but to embrace both, seeing them as necessary routes to wisdom and evolution. Life isn’t always smooth, calm and even. Sometimes there are mountains to climb and dragons to slay. But if you persevere on your journey with faith in your heart you will find that 2026 is a year to remember, and that by the end of it you might well have arrived at a destination that is better than you could have imagined.
