2026 is going to be a year when the way in which you live your day to day life is going to change – possibly quite dramatically. Maybe this is because you’re tired of living in the way that you have been, and so you decide to make a change. It could be a small change such as getting up an hour earlier, or starting your day with a morning ritual that enhances your state of mind. Maybe it will be a change that enables you to be more productive – watching less TV or social media and replacing the repetitious habit with something more interesting. Or maybe you’ll decide to overhaul your diet or quit a habit that’s impacting your health. Or maybe the change will come from being fed up of being trapped in a monotonous routine. On the other hand, change could strike like a lightning bolt, abruptly altering the patterns of your daily existence, but even in this case if you were to look a bit deeper you’d probably admit that you were ready for something different.

Either way, change is on the cards and this is something to embrace as your daily life becomes much more interesting, possibly exciting, and certainly liberating if you have felt trapped by your duties and obligations. This year you are granted exception to the old Zen saying, ‘Before enlightenment chop wood, carry water, after enlightenment chop wood, carry water.’  For you it’s more a case of, ‘before enlightenment chop wood, carry water, after enlightenment go do anything but chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment go and see some of the world, or change your job, or move to a better place. In short it’s time to bring some excitement to your days. This excitement could extend to your working life and for a while either your job or your working environment could become quite chaotic. It would be timely to look at how you can do your job differently and perhaps offer different services. The best case scenario here would be finding yourself in a job that feels like a breath of fresh air.

Your health too is subject to change and this is perhaps the area that you will need to take the most care with. Uranus can put a strain on the nervous system so it would be advisable to keep yourself grounded, otherwise nervous and neurological based complaints could arise. Guard against erratic habits and routines which could undermine your health.  The best of Uranus here in terms of health would be making discoveries of a health nature so if you are involved in healing work (or wish to be) this Uranus transit bodes well.

But there are other changes likely to be taking place this year too: Pluto’s journey through your money zone is seeking to transform your attitude to money; if you grant it too much importance then prepare for a ruthless lesson. Too little importance however and you could find yourself in difficulties. Getting the balance right could be tricky and you may need to see where life takes you as to the best approach to material matters. Some of your evolutionary growth will be tied up in the material plane though, so whether you’re learning to get by with less or building up an empire, you can expect a development which pushes you forward. Some Capricorns may, or may already have experienced a severe downturn with money. If so, the lesson may be that you are not your bank balance, or the car you drive or the house you live in. Once this lesson has been assimilated you can experience the better side of Pluto’s financial journey which is to live in accordance with your values. This means dropping any kind of job or lifestyle which isn’t really you so that you can create a material world which is a healthy and accurate reflection of your real self. You may need to ask the question: what do I really value? What is most important to me? Is the size of my house or car really that important? Speaking of houses, Saturn and Neptune’s conjunction at zero degrees of Aries falls in your domestic sphere, which will have an important effect on your home and family situation. You can expect a reset in this department, so whatever has gone before can be wiped clean and a new chapter begun. This may not always be an easy process though, and you may need to face up to reality so that you can make constructive changes. The highest expression of these two planets would be to find your dream home – the place where you truly belong. More modest results could be the need to work hard to get your home how you want it or to deal with problems within your family so that relations can work better. Once you begin working with what you’ve got rather than what you wish you had, the wheel of fortune will begin to turn.

So there is a lot to do this year, but remember that freedom and excitement are calling, and it all begins with making one change in your daily life. So break a habit, change a pattern, and see what happens; it could be the start of a whole new existence.
